Pam All Butter Flower Pin
Pam All Butter Flower Pin
Pam All Butter Flower Pin is layers of post-consumer tin cans and post-consumer plastic waste.
The layers start from the bold red center.
You can see the pointy bright yellow from a post consumer yellow plastic lid….it looks super sharp but it is soft and incredibly durable. Plastic will last 100’s of years….which is exactly the environmental concern.
Next is the inspiration for this flower pin. A Pam all natural cooking spray. They don’t even make these cans any more. Next layers if an entertaining Mary Engelbreit tin. Final layer is half red & green tin with purple star, gold dots and swirls.
The combinations of colors and patterns is my signature use of common materials in the most unique way.
The back of the flower tins is a butter image with muffins. My maker’s mark is a domestic iron stamped into the tin. This is shown in a close up photo. Genuine Harriete Estel Berman. Nothing fake except the Pam “Butter Spray.
The pin stem is artfully conceal. (A close up shows this very well.)
This is a one of a kind pin. It is completely original even to myself. I do not duplicate anything.
Diameter: 5.5” including plastic tips, 1.5 inch depth.
