Intense Extreme Flower Pin

$895.00

This is Intense Extreme Flower Pin to make any outfit amazing. This will definitely change your day. Colors are a mucky green with White Coffee cup/Intense Xtreme Caffeine Cappuccino with layers of Black Post Consumer Plastic. Layers include a Military Green Fossil tin layer with more black post-consumer plastic. Background includes red flower with Green Leaves cut out with black ground from a 70 year old tin can.
Look at the close ups. This is an amazing pin is a sophisticated, palette of colors.

Look at that dramatic pointy black plastic. It looks threatening, but it is actually soft and durable. There is a reason why plastic does not decompose in compost or landfill. It lasts for 1,000 years. The points of the black plastic will not hurt or stab you.

One of the images of the back is a close up of my maker's mark. This is the stamped image of a domestic iron.  This domestic iron even has an electric cord, and plug with two prongs. A maker's mark is the traditional way silversmiths, metalsmiths and jewelers stamped their work indicating the maker of the piece.  This is permanent and establishes this as the work of Harriete Estel Berman.

This domestic iron is a pun on the fact that a hallmarking stamp is made from iron (steel) and a tribute to the traditional tool of women's work - an iron.

All of this tin is from post consumer tin cans and post consumer plastic. I have been reusing materials from the waste stream of our consumer society for over 38 years….way before the current conversation. At the time, reusing post consumer waste was embarrassing. All pins are one of a kind. If you like this pin, don’t wait. It is not replaceable. Nothing is similar.
The sturdy commercial pin is artfully concealed.
