LIFE is a Game Flower Pin can be looked at as simply entertaining, or internalizing deeper meaning.  The LIFE CENTER and the second layer is from a Life Game tin.  Games are often packaged in tin cans to make them into premium gift items.  From my numerous collection of tins there is a blue layer, pink layer. Each round petal is cut, shaped and filed.   The back of this pin focuses on the words, The Game of Life .

The newer flower pins are more complex and cost five times more expensive because they take more time and are more complicated to make.

‍Look for my maker’s mark on the back of the pin. I created a close up so you can see it better. This maker’s mark establishes this as Harriete Estel Berman flower pin. If you watch Antiques Roadshow, the maker’s mark establishes the value of the work. While this is not made from gold and silver, the packaging of our consumer goods reveals the values of our consumer society.

‍Invest in the survival of a maker dedicated to sustainability. I have been using recycled post consumer materials since 1988, long before the popular trends. When I first started using tin cans, it was embarrassing.
