This entire series of art jewelry is a commentary about our current government, and specifically Trump. I used metallic tin cans because one of the first things that Trump did in the second administration is decorate the Oval Office with gold gilt. He knows nothing about the values of public service except the superficial. The was the beginning.
Gold Card Visa was the first piece. Charging one million dollars plus a $15,000 service fee does not represent the values of our country of immigrants.
Oval Office Exposed and 24K Corruption were specifically abut the Oval Office.
Every piece is open to reveal the ugly inside, revealing the part that I would normally conceal, but a metaphor for revealing the ugliness of our government policies.
The destruction of trust is an over riding principle. The devaluation of vaccines and science has caused death, and the rise of diseases. “Trust is also required for any functioning society. When everything is purely transactional, the world becomes a brutal and ugly place. Without some level of trust, everything we value breaks down.”*
So much to say….
Look at each bracelet as this art jewelry incorporates a discussion of value.

East Wing Destroyed Bracelet
Working on this for about 12 weeks but there is still work to go on both the bracelet and this page on my website.
Theses windows are just the beginning phase. I have about 20 of them fabricated to this stage, but there is still a lot of work to go. Everything is made out of recycled tin cans. The form is fabricated in brass and Plexiglass to press each window.
The Emperor’s New Clothes
I always work on several different pieces at a time. This gives me time to think when I get stuck or need to think about technical solutions. This set of two ruffle bracelets are only at the initial phase. The tins are ruffled for two bracelets for a set called “Emperors New Clothes”. There is still months of work and problems to solve. The problems are so huge, I started and finished four other bracelets first.
