Ruffle Bracelet
This Ruffle Bracelet is fabricated from an extremely rare vintage tin printed with an elaborate ruffle.
Though this is an early bracelet from many years ago, but it resonates with current work.
The reverse side used an old tray with pattern in black, metallic blue, hints of metallic gold, and red/orange colors. This is an example of early jewelry from recycled tin cans…that turned the art jewelry world upside down.
The outside edge is a metallic colored pattern with yellows, blue, reds and oranges. The inside edge is an identical material to outside. A very rare decision. After this bracelet, all the outsides and the inside wrists are all different. This amazing bracelet is available for purchase or exhibition.
Zugzwang Bracelet
Zugzwang Bracelet with asymmetrical wrist hole is constructed from recycled tin cans.
One side is a black and white checkerboard/chess board pattern with a red edge. The asymmetrical wrist hole is a metaphor. Every move in the world politics and our current government makes things worse. The construction reflects the instability in our world politics and the greed, ignorance and self serving of our government. This is an older racelet, but the concept is as strong as ever.
This is constructed from recycled tin cans. The tin cans are not perfect. The bracelet is wearable for a medium to small medium hand, but it always falls to one side….of course. The reason to buy this is as a metaphorical object.

“Wrist Corsage”
This bracelet is a “Wrist Corsage” is jade green with very realistic red roses. It is a very large round art jewelry bracelet.
The reverse side is a jade green Art Deco abstract butterfly and flower against a black background from a rare vintage tray. The outside edge is vertical stripes of off white, metallic gold and jade green. Inside the wrist is a tin from “Assorted Miniatures” a mini-sized Hershey brand candy bars.

Every bracelet is one-of-a-kind. This is an early group where I was experimenting and outrageous. I think our definition of jewelry is too narrow. Here recycled tin cans are a commentary about our consumer society. The image above is from 1998-1999. Some of these bracelets are still available for exhibition or purchase.
