Craft at the Movies, Feeling Like a Star, and Created Exclusively bracelets by Harriete Estel Berman 2021 All photo credit: Philip Cohen
The idea for these three bracelets began during filming for the Craft in America JEWELRY episode. They were later displayed at the Craft in America gallery in Los Angeles for the exhibition Jewelry and Harmony: Highlights from the Episodes.
These bracelets are constructed from post-consumer recycled tin cans, sterling silver and 14K gold rivets/accents.

Craft at the Movies Bracelet

Front side: Candy Land game tin, dimensional film strips, gum drops, sterling silver rivets, 10K gold rivets
Reverse side: AOL tin 1000 hours free, warm orange and yellows with green text
Outside edge: Black with hard candy pattern from vintage 1950’s candy tin
Inside wrist: Green Oreo tin (this bracelet is not wearable because the film strip obstructs the opening)

Feeling Like a Star Bracelet

Front side: Gypsy tea lavender and purple with cold colored accents, 14K gold stars, applied teapot
Reverse side: Floating metallic gold layer around wrist, underneath are more stars in orange and blue tea tin, this hovers over dark blue shooting stars and planets, 10K gold rivets, embossed silver color and gold color stars and swirls, metallic gold background with applied edge
Outside edge: Dark blue and navy starry wave design, 14K gold stars, applied teapot constellation with cup
Inside wrist: Dark turquoise and black texture with gold colored lines

Created Exclusively Bracelet

Front side: Marie Belle chocolate tin with chocolate brown and robin’s egg blue diamond and dot pattern, 10K gold rivets
Reverse side: Bronze color to copper color embossed flower pattern, 10K gold rivets
Outside edge: Soft metallic dusty sky blue beveled edge of original Altoid tin
Inside wrist: Cream wafer roll, buttery yellow and orange
